Prisoners' Advice Service: Prisoners' Rights Debate

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Prisoners' Advice Service is hosting a lively evening of discussion on prisoners' rights, the impact of legal aid cuts, and prison reform programmes.
The panel will include former cabinet minister Jonathan Aitken; Lord Ramsbotham, former Chief Inspector of Prisons; Michael O'Brien, author, campaigner and one of the so-called 'Cardiff Newsagent Three'; Elaine Player, Professor of Criminology and Criminal Law, King's College; Maya Sikand, a barrister specialising in human rights cases at Garden Court Chambers; Harry Fletcher, Assistant General Secretary of NAPO; Joe Black, Campaign Against Prison Slavery; Khalid Sofi, Partner at Johns and Saggar Solicitors. Guardian columnist Erwin James will chair the debate.
