Energy Intelligence can cut costs by up to 30%

A simple device offered by JLA can help reduce heating costs and cut carbon emissions.
JLA’s Energy Intelligence solution monitors and controls energy consumption in heating systems and maximises boiler efficiency.
The system works alongside your boiler and acts as a “brain”, identifying waste and acting to reduce energy consumption. A sensor continually monitors outside temperatures to ensure that heating comfort levels are maintained.
Energy Intelligence is backed by an award-winning service commitment
The Energy Intelligence solution is provided under JLA’s Total Care service package, meaning no capital investment in equipment, and no expensive maintenance bills, so you get guaranteed savings from day one.

As part of our outstanding support package, you get:
  • A fully managed service
  • Heating system expertise
  • Unrivalled service through Total Care, with a dedicated team available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 364 days a year.
OFGEM warns that energy bills could rise by up to 60%
Ofgem has warned that energy bills could rise 25% over the next 10 years with price spikes leading to increases of up to 60%, as early as 2016.
Businesses' energy bills are expected to track the domestic market with firms facing similar price hikes.

UK companies waste between 10 and 20% of all the energy they buy – a staggering £8.5 billion across the economy each year, but small improvements in energy efficiency performance can have a significant impact on reducing heating bills; and go a long way to meeting the challenge businesses face in managing operating costs.

Climate change and regulation

Commercial properties and public buildings currently account for nearly 25% of the UK's carbon emissions, contributing to global climate change.

Initiatives such as the Climate Change Bill, the Carbon Reduction Commitment and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) mean businesses are under pressure to meet government targets to reduce energy consumption and cut CO2 emissions.

Dick Cardis, business development director at JLA said: “All businesses can benefit from the guaranteed savings made by Energy Intelligence. We have tested the system in different sectors, including care homes and licensed premises, and they have all made significant reductions in their energy bills.

JLA was founded in 1973 and is now the UK’s largest independent distributor of industrial laundry equipment, supplying efficient, economical machines to a wide range of markets including hospitals, hotels, prisons and the armed forces.

Based in Ripponden in West Yorkshire, the company prides itself on its innovative approach to providing cost effective and energy efficient equipment. The Energy Intelligence system was developed in response to customer demand for more advanced energy efficient products.
