We have become market leaders winning numerous awards for excellence and technical innovation including the prestigious Independent Living Design Award for "Product Innovation" for our AbilityWhirl.

Our roundabouts have always been a firm favourite with our customers and we are able to produce a wide range of quality platforms to meet BS EN 1176-5.

We introduced the AbilityWhirl, a roundabout system that offers new horizons for integrated play of both able and special needs children. The AbilityWhirl has many advantages; constructed in all metal, has ample standing space and is fitted flush at ground level which eliminates foot traps and allowing easy access for wheelchairs or prams.

Joining the AbilityRange is the SpaceWhirl which has all the features of the AbilityWhirl but has one wheelchair station, making it the ideal choice where space is limited.

Our swings are produced using materials of the highest quality. The support legs are manufactured using hard wearing, hot-dipped galvanised tubes which are coated with a highly protective primer followed by two coats of two-pack polyurethane lead-free and cadmium-free gloss paint. The crossbar is manufactured from a 50mm diameter solid bright steel bar. Its hot-dipped galvanised finish ensures the best permanent protection from abrasion. Our ground-breaking Anti-Wrap bearings can be supplied as an option against vandalism.

Our swing chains are manufactured using 8mm diameter steel and have a smooth sherardised finish to BS EN 1176-2. They are proof-loaded to one tonne and have four wearing links that are 12mm diameter allowing for height adjustment.

All of our slides feature safety grab-rails, fully enclosed stairs and a large guard rail at the top.

Available in four different heights and with an age range of 0-14 years, our slides are manufactured using the highest quality materials to BS EN 1176-3. The chutes are manufactured using one piece of fully welded stainless steel and they all have our unique safe curved edge. By combining fully enclosed ladders with full foot size formed steps, the hazard of slipping between rungs has been eliminated.

GL Jones have a varied amount of rocking equipment from shuttles to springers. These help children exercise whilst having fun at the playground.

Both the Rocking Shuttle and the Rocking Horse are manufactured to BS EN 1176-6 in one piece fully enclosed metal formed box, housing self-lubricating sealed low maintenance bearings and a restrictive mechanism.

We offer a colourful and creative selection of springers. Each character has brightly coloured, authentic looking panels that appeal to a child’s imagination. Sit-in models are ideal for smaller children as they create that sense of security when sitting in the unit. The Sit-in design enables older and larger children to enjoy the ride.

All springers are made from low-maintenance, high-density polyethylene; which has the advantage over timber-based, laminated panels because it does not crack, rot or de-laminate, and never requires repainting.

For non-permanent installations in supervised play areas the addition of the springer base allows the unit to be put away for storage.

The Modular Units produced by GL Jones Playgrounds are unbeatable with their durability and eye-catching colours make our units a cut above the rest. We have designed them to be as safe as possible in compliance with BS EN 1176 and have gone to great lengths to design-out any potential hazards. A unique feature of our units is the safety skin placed under the decks that protects the child’s head against the metal work.

Our Anti-Motorcycle Kissing Gate is unique in that it permits vehicle access when required but restricts it at all other times. Our hingeless design has eliminated any finger traps that other gates simply can't avoid. All of the gates have a specially designed self-closing mechanism that has totally eliminated the need for dangerous springs or weights.

The experience and creativity of our design team means that units are easily revised and adapted to suit individual needs.
